Security Alert! Serial Burglar!
The person pictured below has been identified as a suspect in numerous condo burglaries in the Pearl District and other areas of Portland. If you see this person, call 911 immediately and provide this case number - PPB Report #2024-905285. The Case Number is VERY important. NWCC Members, call the hotline in addition to 911 immediately, our Echelon security team is on high alert.
White Male. Approximately 5’10”, mid 30’s.
Reddish hair, scruffy beard, thinning hair. May have shaved head and beard recently.
Notable physical features: tattoo or birthmark above left eye; left arm appears to be covered in tattoos; hands may appear swollen/large.
Most often wearing hats, likely to hide tattoo/mark above the left eye.
Update: “Red Beard” the serial burglar profiled in our August newsletter and on the flyer distributed to all our members has been arrested.
Many thanks to ALL our members for posting the flyer and sharing police report data, video and photos with our Reports Committee Chair Ricki McIlwraith who has been key to summarizing the many cases, working to assist people to get their police reports filed and providing the DA details on losses they have incurred. It takes a village!
Daniel Gallagher (aka Red Beard) was arrested by PPB on October 16th. He is being held and has been charged on 22 counts. The investigation continues into the various crimes for which PPB believe he is responsible, and they anticipate additional charges in the near future as more video is submitted and building managers determine who will be responsible for pressing charges.
Thank you to all that have submitted police reports and thank you to the PPB for flagging him in their system so that Mr. Gallagher was identified and arrested as he tried to flee on a bike in SE portland.
