Quick Action and Medical Response Save Life at Jamison Park

NWCC Stories from the Street

NWCC Community Coordinator Terrance was called to Jamison Park in the Pearl District after a security team member attempted to assist someone in distress.

Drawing on his training and experience, Terrance quickly recognized the person was in trouble—he called 911. He then administered two doses of Narcan, as the individual was unresponsive and appeared to be overdosing. While performing chest compressions, Portland Fire & Rescue arrived and took over from Terrance. The person regained consciousness and was then assessed by the PFD team.

A big thank you to Terrance for all the support he provides to our community.
